Apply to Students Stepping Into STEM


The MEAB - NAACP seeks applicants for their 8th Annual Summer Program for Junior and Senior High School students.


What: The purpose is to engage, inform, and promote majors and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. The program features hands-on projects, career panels, SME (Subject Matter Experts), college preparation sessions, and field trips. 


Where: The program will be held at 30 Knightsbridge Road, Piscataway, NJ (Formerly AT&T) 


When:      Monday July 10 - Friday July 21    9:00 am – 3:45 pm  


Who:         Junior & Senior High School Students Grades 8 – 12 GPA 2.75 or better           


Apply:        Submit a one-page essay indicating your interest in participating in the program. Include your current activities inside and outside of school and any other things you would like the committee to know about you. Be sure that the essay addresses the question, “Who AM I?” Let us know why you are interested in STEM / STEAM. Please have your school send a current transcript and a brief letter of recommendation or support from a teacher, guidance counselor or mentor. All materials must be received by May 19,2023.


Cost:         Registration Fee of $95 is requested for those students accepted into the program.
